On Tuesday in Albany, the Assembly Health Committee endorsed a bill (A.9044 by Assemblywoman Rosenthal) that would add electronic cigarettes to the list of tobacco products and smoking paraphernalia thou shalt not sell to minors in New York State. Although we have not yet signed off on this particular legislation, NYACS prefers this concept to the outright ban on e-cigarettes sought by certain other legislators. The bill now goes to the Codes Committee. So far, there is no companion bill in the Senate.x
