Register systems - Ruby, G-site, Fiscal/??? Decisions! PCI Compliance

I assume many c-store owners are currently looking into upgrading or changing their current register systems. With the need to be PCI compliant we are all in need of upgrading or changing our systems.
I currently use a G-site system along with 3 Fiscal Sys. scanning registers (touch screen). I am really having a hard time deciding wheather to upgrade to the new Passport by Gilbarco or go with the new Fiscal system. Both work good with "BP" software. The Passport is a good bit more $ but comes with local support. In either case I need back office software as well. If any of you have suggestions I would be very interested.

Hi Doug, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I haven't logged on for a few days. As I know you are already aware, both systems will work fine with the equipment you already have in place. I think Hannah made a great point when she said her local reps were not all that helpful in regard to programming and training. I don't believe you would find that either one is hands down a better system over the other, but I do think it is critical that you have a fairly local installation and support company that is well qualified to give you training, programming, and tech support on an ongoing basis.
I have some close contacts you could call that specialize in the Passport system that I'm sure would be happy to give you their viewpoint if that would help in any way.
Give me a shout at 315-412-6048 if you have any interest.

Hannah and Kevin thanks for the input! Kevin, I am currently using Gilbarco MPDs (with up to date card readers) - I have a single g-site register for fuel. I use 3 Fiscal computer registers that tie into a single back office package which tracks inventory and updates pricing. The back office is important to me. We do a large deli business and an average c-store grocery bus. Any input you have would be greatly appreciated.

be very careful about the Passport by Gilbarco. We have had alot of problems with that equipment
The reps from Mecco are not very imformed about how to program, train on this system

Hi Doug, I think I may be able to you some feedback to help with your decision, what type of POS system and dispensers are you currently using or may be upgrading to?
